Please see the letter below from the Headteacher.
Please find the attached answers to the homework last week.
What a week it has been! The children seem very happy about the news of schools returning – with lots of smiles on our Teams meetings.
This week we have started our new English topic on Poetry looking at the poet John Lyons and in Maths we are continuing looking at Measure. Please find below the timetable for next week:
As always, we are continuing with our spellings:
Look forward to seeing all the children next week on Teams and please keep sending in pictures of their work to email@example.com
Have a good weekend,
Thank you for all the photos that you have sent in, it’s lovely to see what you have been up to.
I know how difficult it is to keep motivated during these difficult times but you are doing a great job, the most important thing is to stay safe and look after each other. Some of you are still going out to work and some are working from home which brings more challenge. Just do the best you can and keep smiling – together, we can do this!
Here is the learning for next week. If you miss a day for any reason, just go back and do the sessions in order or they won’t make sense.
Please try your best to join the weekly video chats. If you need help with TEAMS, let me know and I’ll try my best. The children in school are missing their friends too.
Keep reading and keep safe,
Mrs Dowell and Mrs Armstrong
Here are the spellings for this week! The children have all been given a copy of them in their orange homework books.
Our first full week is complete and the children have been working hard and adjusting well to the new school rules and routines.
In Literacy we have been looking at setting descriptions. The children have been looking at examples and exploring the features ready to write their own setting description next week.
In Maths we have started our place value unit of learning, looking at representing numbers and hundreds. I have been very impressed by the children enthusiasm during our lessons.
This week we started our weekly Music sessions with Shropshire Music Service. The children have been learning all about the ukulele and are looking forward to have ago at playing one next week. It was lovely to see the excitement the children had about learning a new instrument!
Please ensure that you child is coming into school each day with a coat, as we aim to be going outside as much as possible.
Have a great weekend,
Miss Bliss, Mrs Davies and Mrs Evason
