It has been a strange week with power cuts and having to close the school on Wednesday, but all the children coped extremely well with the changes. We have been writing about the Owl Babies ready to write our own stories next week and still learning our number bonds to 10. This week we have started to do subtraction within 10 using our number facts.
During the afternoons we have looked at our world map and identified places we have been or are going. We have also names the countries of the UK and observed the weather. We have thought about the changing seasons and how it will soon be winter.
We have also been practising our Christmas Concert. Thank you for all the costumes which have been brought in so far. To the children’s excitement we have started to get the classroom ready for Christmas!!!
Please continue to read a little each night and practise the spellings. This week they have been brought home on book marks.
I have also added last weeks news as unfortunately the web site was not working fully.
