Good afternoon,
We have had a great week in Willow class. In maths, we have continued with number and place value, and in science, we have continued to explore classification. In English, we have started our new topic on chronological reports and have had fun with our first text.
Please keep encouraging your children to read daily and to keep trying with their spellings.
I hope you all have a restful weekend,
Mr Reynolds
Willow – 10.9.21
Good afternoon,
This week we have started our unit on Wild Waters. We have recapped our understanding of the water cycle and have begun exploring rivers around the UK.
In English, the children have worked very hard on their persuasive letters, explaining why they would be the best choice for one of the roles of responsibility that we have in Year 6.
Please encourage the children to read when at home and record it in their Reading Record. It is really important that they read frequently and a range of books.
I hope you all have a great weekend,
Mr Reynolds

Willow – 03.09.21
Good afternoon,
It has been a great 2 days getting to know the children of Willow class. We have completed a range of activities with the children showing how focused and positive they are.
We have discussed the responsibilities and privileges that Year 6 have and can apply for; it would be great if this weekend you could have a chat to the children about what role they would like to go for this year.
This year P.E. will be on a Wednesday, so please make sure children come in on a Wednesday in their P.E. kits.
If you have any questions please email me: willow@crowmoorschool.co.uk
Hope you have a fun weekend,
Mr Reynolds

Good afternoon,
Wow, what a year it has been in Sycamore Class. I have been really impressed with how well the children have handled a change in teacher and lockdown. They have worked really hard and deserve a good rest this summer.
Thank you to all of the cards and gifts, it was very kind of you.
I hope you have a safe and restful summer,
Mr Reynolds

Good afternoon,
We have had a very good week. Particular highlights were Sport’s Day (where the children competed well and fairly) and creating Roman mosaics (where lots of children took their time and really thought about the design).
As it is almost the end of the end term (and the late night at the start of the week) the children are all tired and need a lot of rest this weekend to make sure they are able to enjoy their final 3 days of Year 4.
Although we have collected in reading books, please keep encouraging the children to read.
Hope you all of have a relaxing weekend and enjoy the sunshine,
Mr Reynolds
