Hello everyone!
We hope you’ve had a great week! It has been very busy and hectic in Sycamore class once again.
In Literacy, we have started our new unit on persuasive writing. We have been linking our writing to our topic, the Stone Age.
During our Maths lessons, we have been calculating the area of rectangles and squares. The children have worked fantastically this week and have gained so much confidence in calculating area.
As part of our work on the Stone Age, the children have been using the iPads to research all about Skara Brae. They used this research to create information posters. The children have also been learning about how the human ear works as part of our Science unit on ‘Sound’.
Spellings are given out on Fridays and will be tested the following Friday. Homework will be checked on Fridays too. We have seen some fantastic examples of homework including a cave painting scroll and a cake!
Have a lovely weekend!
Mrs Brunyard and Mrs Martin
