Hello everyone!
Festive cheer is spreading its way through school at the moment and this week, we have been rehearsing for our Carol Service which is on in the last week of term. We have been practicing the songs that will be sung during the service.
On Monday, we were visited by a travelling pantomime who performed ‘Aladdin’ to the whole school. There was lots of laughter and fun for everyone!
On Tuesday, we started our ‘Stepping Out’ road safety training with Ray. We walked around the local area and practiced crossing roads safely. The children were fantastic and were very mature. We did lots of discussion about the importance of crossing roads safely and what we can do to make ourselves more visible when near roads. Thank you to Mrs Edwards for helping too!
We did our fourth week of ‘Reading the Game’ programme with Coach Neil and looked at writing newspaper reports. The children are enjoying the sessions with Coach Neil and are improving all of the time. The teamwork displayed is really good to see and I am proud of every child for their positive attitude.
Swimming starts this week too! We will be going for the last three Fridays of this term and the first two Fridays of the Spring term.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend! Next week is set to be another busy one so make sure you all get plenty of rest over the weekend!
