Happy Friday!
Another lovely week in Beech class this week.
The children have really started to settle and enjoy life at Crowmoor. A big well done to all of the children for coming in so well with the new ‘drop off’ system. Lots of happy smiley faces.
We have been super busy writing all about Little Red Riding Hood – all of the children have created fabulous shopping lists of things they would take to Granny to make her feel better. Lots of beautiful flowers and bars of chocolates .
In Maths, we have been organising, matching and sorting a variety of items in different groups. The keywords this week for maths are match, same and different. Ask your child to find things that match over the weekend – you’ll be surprised how many off socks they find!
In phonics, we now know s a t p i n d. The children are all trying super hard and both saying the phoneme and reading the graphemes. Please encourage your children to complete the letter formation sheets that are in their bags.
Please write in the reading diaries every time you get your child to share their wordless books with you. They know the patterns and how they work. Please encourage them to read over the weekend and at least 3 times per week. We will change the books next week.
If your child has come home in any of the school spares can you please get them back to us ASAP, we are running very low…. many many thanks 😊.
HUGE WELL DONE TO … ELLIE!! Who is our golden certificate winner. She has shown some amazing writing skills this week, always shares with others and goes above and beyond to keep our classroom tidy! Thanks Ellie, big congrats!
