We have had a super week reading the story ‘Tiddler’ by Julia Donaldson. The children have written some great excuses for Tiddler to give his teacher for why he’s late and also drawn and written about their own characters who could help rescue Tiddler from a crisis.
In Maths they have been adding and subtracting within 10 using first, then, now stories, fishing for creatures in the water and finding shells in the sand.
PE continues to be on Fridays. Please ensure children are wearing school uniform on all other days please.
You will notice the children have brought two reading books home this week. One is their usual Bug Club book and the other is their Little Wandle book that they have read in school in their group reads and have now brought home to share with you. Please ensure both books are in their book bags alongside their reading record every day. We hope you enjoy listening to them read their LW books.
This next week Thursday 2nd May we are having a special Pirate and Mermaids Day where children are invited to dress up as Pirates or Mermaids for the day. Please don’t feel you need to buy anything new, many outfits can be easily put together using things you already have. If you have any queries about this please email the class email beech@crowmoorschool.co.uk
Have a lovely weekend
