I have been welcomed wonderfully by all of the children- thank you!

This week in maths we have been looking at the place value in decimals.  By the end of the week we all understood this well- well done!

This week in literacy we have looked at persuasion.  The children now know that features to look for and the difference between fact and opinion.

Remember your homework is due in on Thursday!

This week the children have been looking at statistics in Maths. They have been learning about bar graphs and why people produce bar graphs. They have been doing lots of problem solving. They have also completed all their assessments this week and have worked really hard. There are still some children who need to do a little more practice at home with their handwriting. Please use the books supplied earlier in the year.

This week the children have been learning to use adjectives in their sentences. They have been making boring sentences into exciting sentences! They have enjoyed this. In Maths we have continued to work with money and we have been doing lots of problem solving. There are also working hard on their times tables and spellings in school. Please ensure your child always reads every night for at least 10 minutes. Have a nice weekend. Mr.Walsh
