Good afternoon,
The children have worked very hard this week writing a persuasive letter from the main character’s perspective, Cameron, to Dr Bryce. In maths we have moved on to statistics and are currently reading data from pie charts. One child who has shown great focus this week and is our Golden Certificate Winner is Jess – congratulations.
In geography we have continued to explore change across the UK by exploring the development of infrastructure in different locations. This coincided with our history work on place names and their origin from the Anglo-Saxons.
We currently have a word target of 4,000,000 words read by year 6 by Easter and we are currently on 3,543,685. Please encourage the children to keep up the reading so we can reach our target and set up a great start to the Summer Term.
We hope you have a great weekend,
Mr Reynolds, Miss Nicholas, Mrs Davies
