This week we did our first practice for our play ‘Glint of Gold’ and it went very well.  The children with speaking parts have been learning their lines- which is excellent!  We will be practicing other parts as we go along and giving out lyric sheets for the children to learn.

Recently we have been taking part in ‘The daily mile’ to encourage a healthy lifestyle.  The children love going out and doing their 9 1/2 laps of the playground- some children do more!  Unfortunately due to the weather we have not managed to do it this week- fingers crossed for nicer weather next week!

Welcome back to the spring term!

The children have had a positive start to the new term in the last two weeks 🙂  they very much enjoyed swimming last week and all tried their best.

The class have been really excited about our new topic for this term- Ancient Egypt.  Homework sheets have been sent home this week but I will attach a copy into the ‘homework’ section too.

The children have auditioned for parts in our play ‘Glint of Gold’ (a play based in Egypt).  We will be giving out parts for this very soon. in the next few days the children that have a speaking part will be given scripts to take home and learn.

Our PE sessions are on a Monday, Thursday and Friday (swimming) this half term so please can you make sure that the children have the correct winter PE kit for both Monday and Thursday.  Messages have been sent home this week for children that have not got the correct winter PE kit in school (trousers and jumper) I am sure that you will agree it was too cold to send them outside in shorts.

Thank you for your on going support,

Mrs Jones
