It was great to see so many parents at parents evening.
Here’s a reminder of the link the children can use to practise their times tables:

Please also make sure if your child has read at home, it is recorded in their reading records. The children can write it in themselves.
Today the children all looked fantastic, dressed up in clothing and colours that make them happy. They talked about what makes them happy and how we can ensure others are happy, making sure that we use kind words and actions.
This week we’ve been looking at poetry in English. After analysing a poem, we planned and wrote our own. The children have really enjoyed our reading sessions on ‘The Thieves of Ostia’ which we finished reading this week.
In Maths, we’ve been adding and subtracting fractions.
In Design and Technology, we had a go at putting the thread through the eye of the needle and doing a running stitch. We will continue to work on this ready to help us make our Stone Age clothing.
This half term the children have enjoyed learning about Islam in our RE lessons. We have looked at how festivals and prayer show what is important to Muslims.
Our Golden Certificate winner is Ella. She has really grown in confidence and is contributing much more in class, Well done and keep it up.
We hope you have a brilliant half term.

Good afternoon,
We have been continuing to look at how water changes state and evaporation this week in Science. The children enjoyed thinking of actions to help them remember freezing, melting, condensation and evaporation.
A huge well done to Alfie K who is our Golden Certificate winner this week. He always listens well, tries hard and contributes well to class discussions. Yesterday, he helped create our actions in Science and thought of a great action for freezing.
In English, we have planned and written our persuasive text on why we should be the next Roman Emperor. Today we have been working on reading our work back and how we can try to edit and improve our writing.
In Maths, we have been looking at improper fractions. We have been converting mixed numbers to fractions and fractions to mixed numbers. Today we used a number line to show equivalent fractions.
Please keep up the reading and times table practise.
Have a fantastic weekend.
