Another week completed in lockdown. It is all very familiar now and has become a ‘normal’ way of life. When things do return to a more normal state it will feel very weird. The media is crazy with updates and suggestions but we are still no clearer as to when schools are returning as such we need to carry on as is. I will continue to set you themed homework every fortnight and you will continue to have the CPG homework each week.
Please make sure you stay in; the statistics relating to COVID-19 do seem to be reducing but we are not out of the woods yet and won’t be for some time.
I continue to go into school, when needed, and I have been planning for our return; if that should hopefully happen. The staff still virtually meet once a week to discuss school issues and what we need to do to help you further.
I enjoyed watching the Spitfire and Hurricane flypast, yesterday, to celebrate Captain Tom’s 100th birthday. The noise the planes make is impressive and Captain Tom’s reactions were moving and humble. Did you see all his cards? Just out of interest try and work out how much the nation spent on his cards; don’t forget to factor in the cost of the stamp too! I will suggest how much I think at a later date.
I clapped yesterday evening to thank those involved in the NHS and the caring sector.
A copy of the homework can be requested via the office but do give them time to produce it for you. They are short staffed and very busy. Whilst staff are still going into school we are trying to protect the staff, children and our families by reducing any unnecessary contact.
Have a great weekend. I think the weather will improve – that makes such a difference.
Keep safe and well.
