Mixed weather this week but it hasn’t stopped us having a busy and full week.
Arthog and Hoodie letters went out recently. Please return ASAP, if you haven’t already. Arthog is always a fantastic experience and I can understand the excitement the children feel. We have spent some time talking about it to alleviate any queries and in the hope that they are now well informed as to what to expect.
In Literacy we continued with our Quest work and the children wrote about the adventures and trials of Bynolf. In Maths we continued our algebra study and I have been really impressed with the way the children have taken to it.
In History we studied the Mayan Gods and the children researched their characteristics. In conjunction with our Mexican study the children learnt more about America as a continent. We started our well-being and mental health sessions with Mel; over the next month we will learn how to handle our feelings and what we can do when we feel overwhelmed.
I will add the answers to the homework I set earlier in the week later today or on Saturday. I forgot to give the homework slip out last Friday but gave it out on Monday instead. The new slip will go out today for completion over the next week.
Have a super long weekend. I am hoping for good weather; I have many outside jobs that need completing!
