We’ve been busy completing assessments this week. It has been really useful as it tells me what I need to concentrate on in the last term of the year. The children all tried their hardest and I will feedback to the children next week or in the first week of the Summer term in April.
In the afternoons, we have continued with our Anglo-Saxon study. The Vikings have now invaded and settled in the country and there is a period of peace. We looked at the importance of runes and wrote a message on an accompanying artefact sketch. We will complete this topic next week.
On Friday afternoon, we watched ‘The Golden Compass’ – a great film. I wanted to watch it as it featured strongly in our Lockdown literacy. I also thought it would be a nice treat after the tests we completed earlier in the week.
The homework has been set and the children will come home with a slip to inform of the new pages. They should also have their spellings and I am encouraging them to read as much as possible to increase their word count and quiz completions on the Accelerated Reader program. Answers to this last week’s homework can be found on the school ‘HOMEWORK’ tab, as usual.
Have a super weekend.
