Another active week. We had our ‘usual’ Tennis session on Monday morning and then we had an extra Cricket session shortly after. Until the end of term we will also have an extra PE session on a Monday afternoon.
The children also had a go at archery – it was great fun. All the children scored but those that came placed (1st, 2nd and 3rd) did particularly well – it is harder than it looks. I’ve had a few goes after school too! Sadly, we have to return the equipment tomorrow but I think every class has had a go and if they like it I have suggested the children in Willow contact the Sports Village to see if they can continue with it.
In Maths, we continued our Ratio and Proportion work and in Literacy we started our ‘Debate and Discussion’ Unit -this will more than likely see us to the end of term now. In PSHE, the children learnt more about their secondary transition and how to prepare for it and in Geography we started our Rivers Unit.
We also started our local topic of the Shrewsbury Abbey; we will learn more about it history and its function within the community.
Some children have struggled this week with hay fever – I have too. It’s really bad at the moment; I am hoping it is a short lived irritation and annoyance.
Have a super weekend.
