Hello everyone
We’ve had another busy week in Sycamore class. This week, we have been rehearsing our production and the children are definitely improving with each rehearsal. Children need to bring their costumes in to school as soon as they can please.
We have been continuing our unit on play scripts in Literacy and the children have been writing their own play scripts based upon different animations.
In Maths, we have started our unit on decimals. The children have been looking at using tenths and writing them as decimals and putting them in place value charts. They have been linking their work with fractions to this unit which has helped them a lot.
I am so impressed by all of the fantastic costumes that the children wore for World Book Day! Every child looked amazing! We spent World Book Day focusing on this year’s theme of ‘Share a Million Stories’ and we completed a range of activities all centered around books and reading. Well done to Charlie and Amber who won the books for their super costumes!
Next week is Science Week. We will be completing a range of Science activities which are focused on ‘Our Diverse Planet’.
Letters have been sent out this week for our visit to Wood Lane Nature Reserve on Friday 27th March. Every child has had a letter with their name on (I know that a few letters go astray from time to time!). If the letter has not made it home, please do not hesitate to come and ask me for a new letter – I have spares!
Have a great weekend!
