Hello everyone!
I hope you all had a lovely half term break. It was nice to meet you all again at parents’ evening. I am sure that you are very proud of your children and how hard they have worked over the last few months. I know that lots of the children have enjoyed showing you their books.
We have been continuing our unit on fractions and the children have been finding fractions of quantities and subtracting fractions from whole numbers. This has been quite tricky but the children have persevered and tried really hard to apply their knowledge and skills.
In Literacy, we have been looking at play scripts. This has linked in well with our Year 3 and Year 4 production rehearsals. Children who have lots of lines to learn need to practice them regularly at home as the performances will soon be here. Our performances are on Tuesday 24th March and Wednesday 25th March (Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday evening). Children can bring their costumes into school at any point up until Monday 16th March 2020. They need to have their costume in a bag with their name clearly labelled.
As always, please can children read regularly at home and practice their spellings and times tables. Homework is due in on Fridays.
Have a great weekend!
Mrs Brunyard and Mrs Martin
