Hello everyone!
We’ve had a very busy week in Sycamore Class! This week has been British Science Week and we have been looking at this year’s theme which is ‘Our Diverse Planet’. We have discussed diverse cultures, habitats, lifestyles, places and people. The children have been very thoughtful and mature in their discussions. We have also continued our unit on ‘Sound’. We looked at how musical instruments make a sound and how the pitch of a sound can change. We also looked at how sound waves travel and the speed of sound.
We have been continuing our work on decimals. The children have been looking at placing decimals on number lines and also dividing decimals by 10 and 100.
As our production is getting very close now, we have been doing lots of rehearsals for Rock Bottom! There are still quite a few children who have not yet brought in their costume. It is really important that they bring them in as soon as possible – they will need them for rehearsals next week. If you are having difficulty with this, please do not hesitate to speak to either myself or Miss Bliss.
Have a lovely weekend!
