We made it! What a fantastic half term we have had! It has been a pleasure to get to know the children over the last 8 weeks, as well as meet you all at parents evening.
In English this week, we have managed to finish our ‘Letters from the Lighthouse’ book, which the children thoroughly enjoyed. All children were able to do a quiz on the book in order to boost their quiz numbers and word count. We have, also, written our WW2 city setting descriptions.
In Maths, we have finished our Multiplication and Division unit. The children have worked really hard to apply their times tables knowledge from Year 4 to their learning throughout the unit.
During the afternoons, we have made some fabulous 3D bird models out of newspaper. The children loved this activity – even if a few now have their heads hanging off! Haha!
Our Golden Certificate Winner this week is Noah. He has had a great week this week, trying his hardest in all areas. He was very enthusiastic about making his flamingo bird model! He will take home the Oak Class Diary over half-term. Well Done Noah!
On a sadder note, we say goodbye to Kayla today. We wish her all the luck in her new school!
Have a spooky Halloween!
