Week 7 is over!
In English this week we have taken a new approach to our lessons. Our first 2 lessons in the week are focused around our class reading book, where the children have delved into the book; answering comprehension questions and focusing on the vocabulary used. For the rest of the week, we have continued our work on setting descriptions, ready to start our final piece of writing on settings next week.
In Maths, we have continued to look at Multiplication and Division. The children have been recapping and developing their times tables skills, using manipulatives to show factors and explaining prime and square numbers!
In RE this week, the children have particularly enjoyed our lesson on triptychs. The children have designed their own triptych using their knowledge of what we have learnt so far about Christianity.
Our Golden Certificate Winner this week is Kayla! She has worked extremely hard during Maths to learn the key vocabulary around our Multiplication and Division topic. Her work is always beautifully presented and she is a great role model for Year 5. Well Done Kayla! She will take home the Oak Class Diary this weekend.
If you have arranged an appointment for parents evening, all letters should have been returned back to you. I look forward to seeing you all on Monday and Tuesday.
Have a great weekend!
