What a great week!
We have had a great day celebrating Children in Need today; dressing in our own clothes and discussing the reason we support Children in Need day.
In English, we have continued to delve deep into the life and accomplishments of Anne Frank. We have written detailed biographies on her life during WW2 and the experiences she, and Jews, went through during this period in history.
In Maths, we have had lots of practice converting fractions from improper fractions to mixed numbers and vice versa. The children completed activities to show off their speed and consistency when converting.
In Science, we have explored the discovery of gravity by Sir Isaac Newton and we have planned an investigation, where we will be comparing the mass(kg) and weight(N) of different objects.
In Dance, the children have shown a great enthusiasm towards learning different dance styles surrounding the World War 2 time period. Last week , we had a look at ‘The Charlston’ and developed this by focusing on ‘The Lambeth Walk’ this week. They have picked up small dance routines very quickly and are eager to show their new learnt skills to other children in the school!
This week’s Golden Certificate Winner is Alisha! She has had a fantastic swimming session. She was extremely brave starting at the deep end and achieved her 25metres. Well done, I am so proud!
We have an extra week of swimming next week, so please bring swimming kits next Friday (24th November).
Have a great weekend
