Hello everyone,
It has been lovely welcoming the children back after the Easter holidays.
This term we will be learning all about ‘How was Shrewsbury’. Which begins with our History, where we will learn about Crime and Punishment through the years. In Science this term, we will be learning all about Animals including Humans. Our guided reading book this term is ‘The Shepard who ate his sheep’, by Terry Deary.
On Wednesday 3rd May, we will be visiting Shrewsbury Prison, a letter was sent out on Thursday about this. Please ensure all letters are back by Monday 24th April, to insure we can order dinners on time.
This week in in English, we have started our unit on speeches. We have looked at a range of speeches and have looked at the features.
In Maths, we have finished our unit on mass and capacity. I am so impressed with how well the children have worked during this unit and the knowledge they have shown.
Just a reminder, P.E is on a Monday and Wednesday this term.
Well done to this weeks golden certificate winner, George. For coming back to school with a wonderful attitude towards this term. He has come back showing enthusiasm and kindness.
Have a lovely weekend,
Miss Bliss and Mrs Martin
