This week we have started our new class book ‘Owl Babies’ by Martin Waddell and Patrick Benson. We are working towards writing a story based on the book for our friends to read. As part of our science work we have been learning about Barn Owls, we know where they live, what they eat and the sounds they make. Next week we will continue to learn about British animals. We have been identifying nouns and using them in our writing. In maths we have been learning to take away by crossing out and finding the parts of a whole number. We will be continuing this next week. Well done to the children who have earned their bronze certificates on Mathletics, keep up the hards work. I will be printing the certificates on a Friday in future. Please remember to continue practising spellings and reading each night.
Thank you to everyone who responded to the children’s fairground leaflets, the children enjoyed making them and were proud to bring the responses back to school.
