Hello everyone,
This week in in English, we have been looking at the features of explanation texts. We have learnt about chronological order and paragraphs. We have asked questions about mummification and have answered our questions by using library books and the ipads as a research tool.
In Maths, we have been converting, adding and subtracting lengths. We have found out how many cm are in a m and how many mm are in a cm. We even used strawberry laces to compare lengths!
In French, we have been learning different colours in French. Why not ask your child what colours they can remember?
Last week, we welcomed Miss Aldridge into Hazel class! She will be working with us for 9 weeks as part of her teaching placement. We are looking forward to learning lots of new things with her.
Next term we will be doing our Year 3 and Year 4 production. This year we have chosen a play called ‘A Glint of Gold’. We have sent some children home with scripts to learn lines ready. If your child hasn’t come home with a script, this is because they have a singing role.
Well done to this weeks golden certificate winner, Riley. He has shown a wonderful enthusiasm during maths and demonstrated excellent knowledge of different units of measurement.
Have a lovely weekend,

This in in English, we have been looking at the features of instructions. Why not ask your child what new vocabulary they learnt this week!
