Good afternoon,
This week we have finished our unit on ratio, which the children have really got stuck into and have applied their understanding well. In English, the children have written balanced arguments for xenotransplantation, thinking about a range of views on both sides.
In science we have continued with our light unit, developing our understanding of how light travels and why. For geography we have looked at trade and what the UK exports.
This week’s Golden Certificate winner is Willow, they have worked hard all week and produced some great pieces of work – congratulations.
Daily reading seems to have slipped a bit since Christmas, so you could please encourage your children to read – it is so important.
Hope you all have a great weekend,
Mr Reynolds and Miss Nicholas

The winner of the golden certificate this week is somebody that has not only tried hard but has also improved their handwriting: Congratulations Kayden!

Good afternoon,
This week has been our end of term test week, the children have tried very hard to demonstrate exactly what they can do. Alongside this, we have had children completing their Bikeability Level 1 and 2; where not only did the children do very well, but they were heavily complemented by the instructors on how polite and well behaved they were.
We have continued to explore British Monarchy in history, looking at The Windsor Family, and the children have started their investigations in our science unit on electricity.
One child who has tried very hard all week, and is this week’s Golden Certificate winner is Willow – congratulations.
Hope you all have a great weekend,

Good afternoon,
What an interesting week Willow Class has had. I have been super impressed with the children’s attitude and effort in our reading lessons; this has led to some improved answers in our comprehensions. In maths this week we have started looking at multiplying and dividing fractions, please keep encouraging the children to practise and learn their times tables.
In history we have continued to look at the monarchy, with the children researching about Queen Victoria or Queen Elizabeth. In computing the children are finalising their website designs and in geography we are getting to grips with 6-figure grid references.
Please remember if your child has signed up to Bikeability, this starts on Monday, they need to bring their bike and helmet to school.
As always, keep up the daily reading and have a great weekend,
Mr Reynolds and Miss Nicholas
