Good afternoon,
We have had a great full week back at school. The children have worked very hard during their English lessons, writing persuasive pieces applying for the various responsibilities that we have available in Year 6.
In mathematics we have been looking at numbers up to 10,000,000, ensuring we can order, compare and partition them. In P.S.H.E, we have been looking at what the word ‘relationship’ means which has linked into our visit from our mental health nurse, discussing everyday feelings.
I have been very impressed with lots of the children’s attitudes this week and in particular their contribution to class discussion. The child who won the Golden Certificate this week has really been leading the way; congratulations to Lily.
This week the children have brought home their reading records, in year 6 we use the left hand page for in school reading and the right hand page for at home reading. Please encourage the children to keep up-to-date with this (they should be reading every night).
The spellings for this coming week are on our spelling page on our Willow section of the website, there is also a copy on our class site on Teams under homework. The class will start getting homework from next Thursday, each week it will be given on a Thursday and expected to be returned by the following Wednesday.
Hope you all have a restful weekend and I shall see the children on Tuesday,
Mr Reynolds
