Happy Friday!
We have had a lovely week in Elm. It was lovely to see the children in their happy colours for Comic Relief today!
In Maths, we have been practicing how to add 2 digit numbers using the column method. In English, we have been joining descriptive sentences with conjunctions to make them more exciting. In RE we discussed the significance of resurrection and how Easter Sunday is an important day in the Christian calendar. In History, we looked at Victorian workhouses. All of the children said they would rather be in a Victorian School than a workhouse. They did not like the idea of gruel and bread and sharing a room!
We had great fun making our fruit salads this week. So proud of the children for being very sensible when chopping and cutting. Also very impressed with how well they tried new things and could discuss what they liked and didn’t. Honeydew and watermelon were the clear winners!!
Well done to William – who has won the golden certificate this week.
Can I please remind you to be encouraging your child to be reading at home. It makes such a difference. Thank you.

Have a lovely weekend!
