Hey!
Happy Friday, we have finally made it to February.
We have nearly finished the Twits, the children have really liked thinking of ideas to get revenge on the naughty pair! We have had great fun writing acrostic poems this week. Here is an example of one we did together.
Terrible and old.
Weird, wonky noses.
Incredibly rude.
Tired and scruffy old clothes.
Smelly and stink hair.
In Math’s, we have looked at the 2 and 10 times table. We have multiplied and divided by both numbers and have looked at fun and catchy ways to learn our tables.
In History we have compared Florence Nightingale, Mary Seacole and Edith Cavell and looked at what they did that was similar and what is different about them. In Science, we researched the different adaptations animals have made allowing them to survive in the habitats that they live in. In RE we looked at the celebration of Eid Al-Fatr and how Muslim’s celebrate this occasion. In PSHE we discussed how different websites are safe and unsafe and what to do if we think something is too old for us. Finally, in Art, we made a collage inspired by Andy Goldsworthy. We cut out lots of different shapes from natural images and used them to make an owl.
Well done to Rory for winning the golden certificate!!
