This week has flown. I managed to speak to most parents or children on Tuesday and was delighted to hear that you are all well albeit a little bored/frustrated – I feel the same! I am aware that we are now entering our 6th or 7th week of lockdown and I wanted to say ‘hi’ and see if there was anything further I could do to help you whilst you are at home. I’ll call again in a fortnight or so, we will know more about when and if we are returning by then. The Government announcement on Sunday will hopefully offer some clarity. In the meantime, the well being of all is the priority; if you can do some of the work set it will help you when you progress to Secondary and it should help relieve the boredom. Reading is a priority and the CPG books will help you keep on top of your skills – the afternoon work from the Greek-themed work is to offer some suggestions that might be a little fun and interesting.
I continue to go into school, twice this week, and I am setting work and thinking about/planning for our hopeful return.
It is VE Day tomorrow – 75 years since WW2 finished – I am celebrating on my street (at a social distance) and will put up the bunting tonight. I’ll also be clapping for the NHS and carers tonight and I look forward to a long weekend.
In the meantime and until we hopefully return keep safe, look after each other and take care.
