We have enjoyed writing our ‘Quest’ books in Literacy this week. We carried out the full book writing process from draft of story to its completion and editing. We then created front covers and illustrations to accompany the book. We wrote blurbs, added a content page and drew maps to inform the reader of places they would encounter within the quest and its associated journey. The process was fun and it really hooked the interest of all. I look forward to the session when we share the quests next week. In maths, we have now completed our fraction, decimal and percentage topic and we move onto algebra next Monday. The children learnt how to play Tag Rugby on Monday – details of a competition will follow shortly for those who are entered into the team. I have set new homework; again I thank you for your help in ensuring your child completes it. I have reiterated that the homework can only benefit the children themselves and that completion of the work set can only help them practice the skills necessary for the forthcoming SATs. All made a terrific effort with their World Book Day outfits. Have a super weekend.
