Hello everyone,
As the weather is getting noticeably colder, it’s really good to see that children are bringing in their winter PE kits and thick, warm coats with hats, scarves and gloves. If we can go outside during break and lunchtimes, we will so it’s essential that children are wrapped up warm.
We have had a busy week with Reading the Game and our first swimming lesson occurring. During our sessions with STFC, we have been learning about respect. It’s been great to see the children taking on board what they are learning with Coach Neil and being respectful to all when around school.
In Literacy, we have started our new unit on poetry. The children have been identifying the features of poems and learning about the structure of them.
During our Maths lessons, we have been looking at efficient ways of multiplying larger numbers together.
I’m really pleased to see how much the children are reading now. They seem really enthusiastic about taking the Accelerated Reader quizzes. Well done to everyone!
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend and stay safe in the snow/ice/freezing conditions!
