We have had a busy last week to end our first half of the Summer term. The children have been thinking about what they have learnt and enjoyed so far this year, and what they are hoping to get better at.
In English, we have planned and written our advertisements for Shrewsbury Prison. We have used the features to persuade customers to visit, such as: catchy slogans and customer reviews.
Well done to this week’s Golden Certificate Winner, Darcie. Today she wrote a fantastic leaflet to advertise Shrewsbury Prison.
In Maths, we started our week solving problems with money to end our unit and then moved on to look at time. We have looked at; days, months and years, and hours, minutes and seconds. Today, we looked at converting between analogue and digit time.
The children have been working on their times tables ready for the Times Table Check after half term. We have been using the following site: Multiplication Tables Check – 2023 – Timestables.co.uk which they can use to practice at home.
In Science, the children really enjoyed making a moving arm model to show how their muscles in their arm work.
We hope you have a lovely half term.
