A huge well done to the children who have competed their multiplication check this week. They have all tried hard, and did their very best- they should be proud of all they have achieved. We are very proud of them.
In English, the children have been looking at fronted adverbials and short snappy sentences used for effect. Today, they have researched about the Tudors ready to plan and write their historical stories next week.
In Maths, the children have looked at properties of a triangle, quadrilateral and polygon. Today, we looked at lines of symmetry.
This week in RE we have continued to look at milestones and those for Christians. We looked at infant baptism, confirmation and believers baptism. We also talked about milestones that we have had which the children loved to share.
In Science, we’ve talked about what plants need to grow and have set up an investigation to see what will happen if they have no light, heat or water.
The children have also loved looking at strawberries as part of our DT project this afternoon. The children carefully looked and drew the inside and outside of a strawberry and then got to try some.
Our Golden Certificate winner this week is Omar. He was a fantastic researcher in English today, where he found out about clothing worn during the Tudor period. Omar is also an excellent role model to his peers. He always tries hard, listens and is well behaved.
We hope you have a lovely weekend.
Mrs Fairclough, Miss Shadbolt and Mrs Davies.
