This week, we have started our unit on money in Maths. We have been; writing money as decimals, converting money between pound and pence, comparing, estimating and calculating with money.
In English, we have been looking at features of adverts. We have looked at persuasive language, using our senses and customer reviews. We have also completed our writing assessments and been given a new target.
The children have enjoyed looking at a non-fiction text on our skeleton and bones in reading. This has linked to our science work. In Science, we’ve looked at the human skeleton and have investigated whether having a longer femur means you can jump further.
Today in Art, the children have also enjoyed using clay to make models of themselves.
Our Golden Certificate winner this week is Jake R. He has made good progress with his reading and spellings. Well done, Jake. Keep it up.
As the weather is getting warmer, please ensure children have sun cream applied before coming into school and bring in sun hats and water bottles. Please can we also remind you to label all cardigans and jumpers so if children misplace them, they can be returned easily. Thank you.
We hope you have a great weekend.
