What a busy 2 weeks we have had!
Following our residential trip to Arthog, the children are ready for their weekend off! We had the most amazing time at Arthog and we have enjoyed developing our friendships with the rest of our class. The children showed amazing listening and teamwork skills whilst away rock climbing, canoeing and gorge walking. Here are some pictures to give you an insight of what we got up to.
This week, we have moved onto addition and subtraction in Maths, where we have been developing our mental calculation skills and use of column method to add numbers with more than 4 digits. In Literacy, we have began looking at letter writing, and have explored some common features in letters. We have had a super fun Friday creating textured clay tiles from looking at birds’ feathers.
Joseph has been awarded the Golden Certificate this week for his outstanding effort in all lessons, especially his contributions to using dashes for parenthesis. He had a great time at Arthog, demonstrating good listening skills and helping his peers. He will take the Oak Class Diary home this weekend to add his entry. Well Done Joseph!
Enjoy the weekend and see you next week!
