Hello everyone,
What a fantastic day we have had for ‘Children In Need’. Well done to all the children for getting involved and dressing up. Thank you also for all of your generous donations.
This week in Literacy, we have written our character descriptions about Sir Captain Tom Moore. We decided to focus on describing him during his younger years. The children enjoyed discussing what they think he might have been like when he was younger.
In Maths, we have been learning about multiples. We have found multiples of 2, 5 and 10. We have shared and grouped numbers in order to divide and have focused on multiplying and dividing by 3. Next week we will be moving on to focus on the 4 times tables.
In Science, we have been exploring and investigating light. This week, we investigated which materials are reflective. We found that the mirror and tin were the most reflective and wood and black card were the least reflective.
This week has been our ‘Friendship Week’. As part of this we have discussed what makes a good friend and what we can do if we are feeling sad. Here is our door, which we designed and created this week.
Well done to this weeks golden certificate winner, Jack for his fantastic work in Science. Demonstrating his prior knowledge and using his questioning skills during the session.
Have a lovely weekend,
Miss Bliss and Mrs Martin
