It was lovely to see all the children and hear their news after the Easter break. Everyone has settled back into our class routines and is working hard. This week we have started work on our new class text ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’. We have mapped out the story and done some role play to help us learn the story. We have been looking at adjectives and how they enhance the story language. We will be adding adjectives to our own writing.
In Maths we have begun our work on multiplication. We are looking at counting in 2’s, 5’s and 10’s. Please support your child with this at home, by counting and singing songs (we have learned a couple in class)
In the coming week we will be tasting dips and dippers, please let me know if there is anything your child is allergic to.
We have reminded the children that they still need to practise their phonics and read their reading books each night. Please help them to do this as a little practise makes a huge difference.
Thank you and enjoy the weekend
