This week the children have worked hard learning how to read the words for numerals to 10 in maths and have been counting backwards and forwards from given numbers within 10 and making number tracks.
In literacy we have enjoyed writing about the different settings in our class text ‘Where the Poppies Now Grow’ and thinking about how it felt during World War 1. The children have tried hard to use their key words from this weeks spellings in their writing.
Our topic is all about World war 1 and we have been learning about the life of Walter Tull. We have compared his life to our own and how life styles have changed over the years.
Please continue to read each night and send both books into school daily.
Enjoy the weekend
