The weeks are going by too fast!
Thank you for all the boxes on Monday, the children had a very productive afternoon building examples of detached and semi-detached homes, terraced houses, bungalows, flats, cottages and caravans.
This week the children have written questions to ask the bear because he looked so sad at the end of the book with no friends. All the children have rehearsed a question and used a question mark.
In phonics we have applied our new phonemes to reading longer words. We need to ‘chunk it up!’ and blend in our heads!
In our first week of Addition and Subtraction, the children have written number sentences to match a number story. If there were three sheep in a field and then two more joined what would be the total? This can be represented by 3+2=5.
We have prepared a watercolour background ready for our portrait of a moving person next week. The children prepared themselves and the classroom ready for painting and cleared up after the lesson. They are becoming increasingly independent in their learning and when organising themselves. Well done!
