This week we have been practising writing in sentences, using capital letters and full stops. We have written our own book reviews for ‘Daisy Saves the Day’ and thought about what it was like for Daisy living in Victorian times. This week’s spellings are again from the list which Year 1 children need to be able to spell. Please practise them each night when you read with your child. A little and often really does help your child’s learning. In maths we have started our new topic of addition and subtraction. We will be partitioning numbers and finding out about fact families (all the ways to make different numbers)
We have looked at photos from Blist Hill and are all very excited about our trip. Please remember to send your child to school on Wednesday (9.10.19) with a pack lunch, suitable shoes and a waterproof coat, as much of the day will be spent outside.
Family reading will be on Thursday at 2.45pm
