You may have heard about ‘Doorstep Carols’ last year. Local radio stations across the country broadcast carols simultaneously and everyone is invited to sing along or play instruments.

In school we are pleased to be working with Shropshire Music Service to offer small-group and individual lessons on keyboard and drums. Shropshire Music Service are a non-profit council organisation dedicated to providing high quality music education for the county’s young people. The lessons are not free, but substantial reductions in the cost are available for those in challenging financial circumstances. SMS also offer affordable instrument hire for most instruments, along with opportunities to perform in musical groups. We have had a confirmed case of mumps in school. Please be aware if your child has not had all their vaccinations.

Flu vaccinations will take place in School on Friday 5th November.
If you would like your child to have one, you must return the consent form to the office by 4.11.21. These were sent out earlier this month.

We will be having an open afternoon on Wednesday 3rd November at 3.30pm for parents of children who will be due to start school in September 2022. This will give you an opportunity to meet the teaching staff and have a look at the School before making an application.

A face mask must be worn on the school premises.
A reminder to all year 6 parents, if you have not already done so, you need to make an application to the local authority for a secondary school place before midnight on Sunday 31 October 2021. If you do not make an application by this closing date, your application will be treated as late and that could disadvantage your child when being considered for a place at their preferred school(s).
Paper application forms are not available.
