Dear Parents/Carers
We are so happy to have your children back with us, the school is now as it should be, full of children enjoying their learning and having fun. We have been amazed at how resilient they have been and how quickly they have settled down.
Thank you to all of you for adapting to the new safety procedures so readily. Things have changed on the surface but all the changes are purely to keep your families, your children and my staff as safe as possible. I will not compromise on my responsibility to keep everyone safe and I know that I have your total support in all the measures we are taking to stop the virus hitting Crowmoor and the surrounding community. We have tried to take a common sense approach and despite the Government guidance stating that we should NOT allow parents onto the site I am, in order to allow you to directly hand your children to their teachers. If you have difficulties with the arrangements please let us know and we can come up with a safe alternative we will.
As you have seen on the national and local news the virus is still with us and still will be for the future. Please let us know if your children have any of the symptoms already listed and the new ones of sickness and diarrhoea. If your child has a runny nose and a cold please could you ensure you send plenty of tissues with them.
Details of how to arrive and collect from school; of how to contact us etc are all on the website and have been there since before July. We sent out a reminder this week, this is on the website.
We are currently conducting our usual assessment activities to see where your children are we will let you know the results when they have all been completed.
The Autumn Term is normally packed with lots of events : Harvest ,Christmas productions, Christmas Tree Carol Concert etc. Unfortunately most of these will not happen but we are looking at ways to share the children’s activities with you. We are looking at how we can deliver Parent’s Evenings safely or we may have to do phone consultations.
Please keep in touch with the Class teachers via the Class Email addresses,by letter or phone. If there is an urgent issue ring the Office in the morning and this will be passed on to the teacher straight away.
Hopefully as everyone becomes used to the new “normal” for schools it will become less stressful for all concerned!
Please stay safe

Sad News : past Crowmoor Deputy Head Percy Mullaly has died.
The sad news of the passing of Shropshire primary school sporting legend Percy Mullaly was announced in a tweet made on the 23rd of August 2020 by SSCFA (@SSCFA2)..
Percy encouraged and helped thousands of children to participate in football and primary school sport whilst working with the SSCFA and through his many years as a primary teacher and most especially whilst he was Deputy Headteacher at Crowmoor Primary School .
All who came into contact with Percy will have a particular memory of him, he always had a new joke and was a real gentleman . The Crowmoor School Community past and present thank you for all you did for the School and it’s pupils. You will be sadly missed but not forgotten. We send out condolences to his family. RIP Percy.
