Happy Friday team!
It has been a very busy week in school this week. Lots of special visitors and the children have all been really well behaved and done us proud. You should all be very proud of the delightful children you have.
In English, we have been writing letters to apologise to Grim Jim and his messy garden from the naughty Dragons and writing to tell Grandad all about the dragons. All of the ideas have come from our class book ‘the boy who grew dragons’. It has been a great read, we all cannot wait to see how it ends next week. In maths, we have finished off our time topic and recapped some of the areas we found tricky. In Art we made African inspired tribal necklaces and had a go at the jumping dance which is extremely important in the Maasai tribe culture. The children were really engaged and super happy to learn about a different culture. In design and technology we have designed and started to make our bunting. We have cut the fabric and next week we will be sewing them.
Please see the picture of our necklaces:
There has been a decline in reading in our class over the last few weeks. I know the weather is nice and the children are playing outside but can I please still encourage you to be reading as much as possible with your children at home. Can you please make sure the children bring their books in everyday. Thank you.
I understand you have received a letter regarding my departure. Thank you for your support. If you have any questions please ask me.
Have a lovely weekend.
Miss Shadbolt and Mrs E.
