Hello everyone!
This has been a very strange and anxious week for all of us! I can imagine that some of you are starting to get a little restless as we are now very limited as to what we can do. There is a fantastic range of activities to do online that you can do at home. I am sure lots of you have heard of Joe Wicks’ daily PE lessons. They are free to access and are on YouTube – just search ‘Joe Wicks PE lessons’ or ‘The Body Coach TV’. They run at 9am every Monday to Friday.
There is also another great activity if you are particularly keen on drawing. If you go to http://www.robbiddulph.com/draw-with-rob there are regularly-updated, short videos of how to draw different animals/characters. I particularly like the Gregosaurus one!
The DfE has also released an ‘Activity Passport’ which has lots of different activities to do both indoor and outdoor. There are all sorts of ideas of things that you can do – you don’t have to stick to the Year 4 ones! More information can be found following the link: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/772070/My_Activity_Passport.pdf
Energize for Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin has also put together a site which has lots of different websites that you can access to keep yourself busy and active. https://www.energizestw.org.uk/energize-resources
The work set on the 20th March should last another week. We will then set some more work for you to do after the Easter holidays. I know that it has been really tricky to stay inside and at home during this last week but it is so important that you do. We all find it difficult to stay at home and not go and meet family and friends but everyone needs to try their best to prevent the spread of this terrible virus.
I hope you are all staying safe and well.
Take care and look after each other,
Mrs Brunyard
