Hello everyone!
We’ve had a lovely week this week in Sycamore Class. On Wednesday afternoon, we were visited by Shropshire Falconry who brought in some owls. We learnt all about how the owls are adapted to suit the habitat that they live in. Some of the children were allowed to hold the owls and some of the owls flew around our school hall. It was really informative and the children asked some fantastic questions.
In Literacy, we have been writing explanations about pollination of plants. The children researched pollination, took notes and then used the notes to plan and write their own explanations. We have been also working hard to improve our handwriting.
In Maths, the children have worked so hard this week! We have been adding and subtracting large numbers using written column methods. They have persevered with using the different methods and have worked amazingly. Well done to every child!
Have a fantastic weekend!
