Hello everyone,
This week is the last week of term before we break up for Easter. The children have entered the Easter Competition with their lovely displays. We have also enjoyed the school Easter disco and the children loved showing off their bright coloured clothing.
Hazel has also had a visit from the Fire Service, the children now know what to do in case of a fire! We all practiced our stop, drop and roll.
In Maths, we have continued to look at mass and converting kilograms into grams. We have also been upgrading our maths vocabulary and using key words such as equivalent.
In Literacy, it has been Poetry Week and Hazel have been busy planning their rhyming couplets and writing their Water Cycle themed poems. They are brilliant!
Our Science, has been focused on the formation of soil and we have investigated the different components of the soil. The children took their own samples of the soil from outside and used magnifying glasses to get a closer look.
Well done to our golden certificate winner… Betsy. Betsy has worked extremely hard on her fantastic Water Cycle poem. Keep up the good work!
Sadly, we say goodbye to Miss Aldridge who has been working with us for the past 9 weeks. We will miss her lots but know she will be back to visit!
Have a wonderful Easter break,
Miss Bliss, Mrs Martin and Miss Aldridge
