What’s fab week we have had, we have certainly crammed a lot into four days!
We have read about Lily who wanted to train to be a nurse so that she could help the injured soldiers in World War 1. The children noticed that she was childhood friends with Ben and Ray out of the previous book. They remembered lots of details, well done!
In maths, we have been ordering and comparing numbers by looking at the tens and ones. Next week we will be counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. Please help your child to practise this as much as possible.
All the children could talk about the properties of everyday materials and explain their suitability. For example, glass is good for windows because it is transparent. They could also say that wood is unsuitable for clothes as it is rigid, we imagined trying to wear trousers made of wood!
Sophie M has won our Golden Certificate for improvements in handwriting, keep it up Sophie!
I hope you caught the earlier post showing our art work. The children are also learning how to prepare for an art lesson and how to tidy up too.
Please remember that PE is on Monday and Tuesday until half term.
Have a great weekend,
Mrs Dowell and Mrs Armstrong
