This week we have started to learn facts about life 100 years ago. Everyone asked lots of questions about Edith Cavell and the children were fascinated by her life story. We even learnt a little bit of French like Edith did when she lived in Belgium!
In Maths we have been comparing numbers using the greater than (>), less than (<) and equal to (=) symbols. It’s been a bit tricky and the children have learnt that they have to concentrate to get it right.
We have had our first times tables test and there has been a mixture of results. Please help them to count in twos, fives and tens so that they can then learn their times tables facts out of order.
Thank you for your support with the homework, all the children were proud of their efforts.
Next week we will continue with our information texts and begin to complete comprehension questions based on our reading.
Advance warning – We will be going on our trip to Acton Scott on October 10th. All children will ideally need wellies as it could be quite muddy!
Have a fab weekend,
