On Friday 5th May we will be celebrating the King’s Coronation with the Friends of Crowmoor and we invite all our Crowmoor families to come and join us too, for an afternoon of fun! Please see attached poster.
All children will have their dinner in school as normal on Friday and then from 1pm we invite all Parents/Carers to come and join us for an afternoon tea! The Friends of Crowmoor will be providing refreshments and families are welcome to bring their own picnics, very much like the Jubilee celebrations for those of you who were able to join us for this event last year.
If you would like to come and join us for this event, we would ask that you attend the school site for 1pm. When you arrive you will be shown to the area where you will be able to sign your child out. This means you will take responsibility for your child for the afternoon. Once your child is signed out for this afternoon you will not be able to sign them back over to the school, they must remain in your care.
If you are unfortunately unable to attend this event, your child will remain with school staff during the event.
During the event it is important all Parents/Carers comply with our Child Protection procedures and anyone who is seen not to be adhering to these procedures will be asked to leave the event.
Children are welcome to come into school on this day in non school uniform if they wish, we ask that they wear red, white and blue or colours of the Commonwealth.
There will also be a competition for pupils to enter if they wish “The best Crown” Pupils will be given some card in school and will be invited to make a Crown if they wish to be entered into the competition. Crowns are to be made at home and pupils are welcome to be as inventive as they like! All Crowns must include the child’s name and be bought to school on this date. There will be prizes on offer for the best Crown!
