It has been so good to welcome the children into Elm Class! They have all settled in brilliantly and have learnt the new routines very quickly, well done.
This year they will learn to be much more independent in everything they do and will have more responsibility in the classroom.
They know that they need to bring their reading books to school everyday so that they can read every morning. They all have a named peg in the cloakroom to hang their coat and rucksack on as they take up lots of room in the classroom – it’s so good that we can do this again! Please check that everything they wear or bring to school has their name on it.
Please make sure they have a water bottle in school everyday but please don’t put bottles in their book bag!
We’ll be spending a bit of time getting to know each other and finding out where they need help through some short assessments. I also want to find out what they would like to learn about whilst in Elm Class. So far, I’ve had lots of requests for more science which is great news!
Please add to the ‘One Page Profiles’ and return to me as soon as possible, it was lovely chatting to them individually to find out what they were good at. There is also a section for you to fill in about how you can help your child this year. This will help me to get an overall picture of your child.
PE will be on Fridays, please make sure they still come to school in their kit. White t-shirt, plain dark joggers and school jumper/cardigan plus a hoodie for when we go outside.
If you have any questions, or would just like to introduce yourself, please email elm@crowmoorschool.co.uk. I’d love to hear from you.
Have a fabulous weekend with lots of rest, there were few tired heads in school this week, including mine!
